ACTION REQUESTED:
Approve or reject the following motion:
TO AWARD THE SUBJECT CONTRACT TO WILDISH CONSTRUCTION COMPANY IN THE AMOUNT OF $222,484.50.
ISSUE STATEMENT: This is the first bid/award for Measure 20-296 Street Bond projects. Three bids
were received on this overlay project. Contract award is now necessary to enable
work to proceed.

DISCUSSION/ FINANCIAL IMPACT:
This overlay project includes the milling and paving of 14th Street from Main Street
to A Street and from E Street to G Street as well as approximately 500 feet on
Commercial Avenue west from 42nd Street. Seven ADA Ramps will be replaced, four at the corners of 14th and F Streets, two at 16th and G Streets and one at
Commercial Avenue. Two new ADA Ramps will also be installed on Commercial Avenue.
The following bids were received and opened on May 9, 2019. Engineer’s Estimate $276,800.00
Wildish Construction Company $222,484.50 Knife River Corporation -NW $224,908.00 Eugene Sand Construction $234,260.00
Wildish Construction Company was the lowest responsive bidder on this project.
Sufficient funds are budgeted in the Construction Services account (800008) to
allow award of the contract.
