ISSUE STATEMENT: The ten-member Springfield Police Advisory Committee has a vacancy for the faith community position created by a previous resignation. At the April, 8, 2019 Work Session, the Council interviewed two candidates. At the conclusion of the interview process, the Council supported appointing Barry Lind as the faith community representative. Mr. Lind would begin his four year term on June 1, 2019. The task force meets not less than quarterly and is required to provide the City Council with an annual report of its activities.
