MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE SPRINGIELD CITIZEN INVOLVEMENT COMMITTEE
Tuesday, November 18, 2008
The City of Springfield Planning Commission met as the Citizen Involvement Committee in the
Council Meeting Room, 225 Fifth Street, Springfield, Oregon on Tuesday, November 18, 2008, at 6 p.m., with Frank Cross as Springfield Planning Commission Chair.
ATTENDANCE
Present were Chair Frank Cross, Vice Chair Johnny Kirschenmann and Planning Commissioners Lee Beyer, Sheri Moore, Eric Smith, Terry Leezer, and Steve Moe. Also present were Development Service Director Bill Grile, Planning Manager Greg Mott, Planning Manager
Linda Pauly, Planning Supervisor Mark Metzger, Planning Secretary Brenda Jones, and City
Attorney Joe Leahy.
ABSENT
• None
Chair Frank Cross called the meeting to order.
Ms. Pauly announced that the City Council had appointed Sean Van Gordon to the Planning
Commission.
Staff circulated copies of the 15 applications for the citizen advisory committee for the Glenwood Plan received to date and noted there were currently 19 vacancies to fill.
Commissioners expressed pleasure at the diversity of applicants and discussed whether to extend
the time period for applications to ensure all the categories identified for membership were filled, particularly the category representing affordable housing.
Commissioners agreed to extend the application period.
Mr. Smith, seconded by Ms. Moore, moved to accept the 15 applications and to direct staff to continue to seek at least two more members for the Glenwood citizen advisory committee. The motion passed unanimously.
Mr. Cross adjourned the meeting at 6:18 p.m.
