ITEM TITLE: DOWNTOWN CITIZEN ADVISORY COMMITTEE APPOINTMENT
ACTION
REQUESTED:
The CCI is asked to recommend the appointment of candidate Kerry Barbero to
serve as the Historic Commission representative on the downtown Citizen Advisory Committee.
ISSUE STATEMENT: This appointment is necessary to fill a vacancy on the Downtown Citizen Advisory Committee (CAC).

DISCUSSION: Due to an expiration of another Historic Commissioner’s term limits, the Historic Commission’s representative on the CAC is currently vacant. Recruitment for
candidates for this position is limited to the Springfield Historic Commission. At
the March Historic Commission meeting, Commissioner Barbero volunteered to serve as the Historic Commission’s representative on the Downtown CAC.
