Children’s Bookmark Contest Winners 2018
Library Director Emily David will present the fifteen young artists chosen as the winners of the
Library’s Children’s Bookmark Contest to the Mayor and Council.
The Library has held a bookmark contest for grades kindergarten through middle school for 38
years. This year, 1500 students entered the contest with their unique bookmark concepts. All
their designs, about reading, libraries, or the theme for 2019’s Summer Reading Program “A
Universe of Stories” are on display in the Children’s Area of the Springfield Public Library. The
winning bookmark designs have been professionally printed and will be distributed in the
library all year long.
