Provide access per the Mechanical Code where mechanical equipment is located in attic spaces. 4. BEAMS -- Single span Glu -Lam beams shall be 24F -V4 DF -DF with 1 1/2" laminations. Manufacturers standard minimum camber unless note otherwise. Top of beam orientation shall be clearly marked on the beam. Where beams are cantilevered or continuous over intermediate supports, Glu -Lam beams shall be 24F -V8 DF -DF with 11/2" laminations. Top and bottom laminations shall be of equal strength and beams shall be manufactured without camber.
