HomeMy WebLinkAboutResolution SEDA 2007-02 04/23/2007 (SEDA Acceptance Resolution) SPRINGFIELD ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT AGENCY, AN URBAN RENEWAL AGENCY OF THE CITY OF SPRINGFIELD RESOLUTION NO. 2007-02 A RESOLUTION ACCEPTING THE ASSIGNMENT OF CERTAIN OPTION AGREEMENTS AND AGREEMENTS OF PURCHASE AND SALE FROM THE CITY OF SPRINGFIELD. WHEREAS, the City of Springfield has entered into certain Option Agreements and Agreements of Purchase and Sale, more particularly described and set forth in Exhibit A attached hereto and incorporated herein by reference; and, WHEREAS, the City of Springfield has established the Springfield Economic Development Agency, an Urban Renewal Agency of the City of Springfield which seeks to stimulate economic growth in the Glenwood area of Springfield; and, WHEREAS, the City of Springfield has assisted the Springfield Economic Development Agency by the assembly of options on real property toward the goal of securing the siting of major economic development in Glenwood; and, WHEREAS, the assembling of options by the City of Springfield and the assignment of said options to the Springfield Economic Development Agency will aid and promote that goal. NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, by the Springfield Economic Development Agency of Springfield as follows: 1. The Springfield Economic Development Agency hereby accepts the attached Assignment of Option and Agreement of Purchase and Sale assigning certain Option Agreements and Agreement of Purchase and Sale to Springfield Economic Development Agency, an Urban Renewal Agency of the City of Springfield including specifically those Option Agreements and Agreements of Purchase and Sale more particularly described and set forth in Exhibit A attached to the Assignment. 2. This resolution shall take effect on April 23, 2007. Page 1 of 2 ATTACHMENT 1 (SEDA Acceptance Resolution) 3. The Assignment of Option Agreement and Agreement of Purchase and Sale shall be recorded in the Lane County Deed and Records.
