Tonight’s Work Session Involves Training to discuss the following item:
1. SUBJECT: SPRINGFIELD URBAN GROWTH BOUNDARY MAP:
The Planning Commission reviewed an earlier draft of the UGB map during the public review process for the Springfield 2030 Refinement Plan policy package that was conducted in
February-May 2011. Adoption of the UGB map is now moving forward for adoption by the Springfield City Council and Lane County Board of Commissioners. A public hearing on the map was conducted on April 4, 2011 and will be continued on May 16, 2011. Since there are
several new members on the Planning Commission that did not participate in last spring’s review process, and since the map has been updated in response to public testimony received,
staff will communicate the status of this project and explain the analysis conducted and
methods used to prepare a tax lot specific map of the UGB.
