1. CODE EDIT AND REFORMAT PROJECT – Last year, the Planning Commission recommended and the City Council endorsed, proceeding with a major
reformatting and editing project with the goal of making the Springfield Development Code (SDC) more contemporary and user-friendly.

2. REQUEST RECOMMEND CITY COUNCIL RELEASE A WITHHOLDING STRIP – The Planning Commission is asked to make a recommendation to the City Council to release a one-foot wide
withholding strip located on Nighthawk Drive. This reserve strip was created on a street dedication deed for the Annette Baird minor partition plat in 1977. The deed explicitly stated that “.. to dedicate said property or
part thereof as a public road when and only when the Springfield Planning Commission by majority cote of the entire membership thereof has declared that said property or said part thereof should be so dedicated.”

5. RESIDENTIAL LAND INVENTORY UPDATE –
In March 2006, the City Council approved a work program for the completion of a Springfield Residential Lands Inventory, A Stakeholder Committee was established to advise staff on the assumptions and
definitions to be used in the inventory process. The work program included a check-in with the Planning
Commission and City Council on those assumptions and definitions. Planner: Mark Metzger
