There is no formal opportunity for citizen participation during Work Sessions. The meeting location is wheelchair-accessible. For the hearing-impaired, an interpreter can be provided with 48 hours notice prior to the meeting. Springfield Natural Resources Study – LRP2005-00034 – The Springfield Natural Resources Study (Study) presents an analysis of the economic, social, environmental and energy (ESEE) consequences of prohibiting, limiting, or allowing conflicting land uses to impact locally significant wetlands and riparian site. Based on the analysis, the Study recommends protections for each of the sites. The Study also proposes a package of protection measures that would be added to the Springfield Development Code to implement the recommended protections. The issue for the Planning Commission consideration is whether the recommended protections and the implementing protection measures are appropriate. Planner: Mark Metzger 60 Minutes 2.
