Rivers to Ridge: Metropolitan Regional Parks and Open Space Study- On November 29, 2000, the Springfield and Eugene City Councils, the Lane County Board of Commissioners and the Willamalane Park and Recreation District met jointly and agreed by unanimous consent to proceed with a Metropolitan Regional Park and Open Space Study. At that time, each jurisdiction agreed to fund a portion of the $50,000 study. Lane Council of Governments is managing the project, working with a staff team that consists of two representatives from each jurisdiction. The Metropolitan Policy Committee is providing policy direction. To date, metro staff has completed a review of existing related plans, a series of analysis maps, and research on potential implementation and funding options. (Cynthia Pappas) 2. ADJOURN AS PLANNING COMMISSION 3. RE-CONVENE AS PLANNING COMMISSION / COMMITTEE FOR CITIZEN INVOLVEMENT (CCI) a. SPRINGFIELD DEVELOPMENT CODE (SDC) AMENDMENTS – MEDIAN POLICY AND STREET STANDARDS – Amendments to the Springfield Development Code (SDC) are needed to establish policy guidance for the use of raised medians on congested streets, revise existing design criteria for collector and local streets, move provisions which are cumbersome to update to the Public Works Department’s Engineering Design Standards, and remove outdated provisions. Request CCI approval of proposed citizen involvement strategy. (Donovan / McKenney) 4. ADJOURN
