WORK SESSION
1. BICYCLE PLAN AMENDMENT – Jo. No. 2002-02-0032- In response to City Council Direction, the Public Works Department has initiated an amendment to the Springfield Bicycle Plan to add a 0.75 mile long multi-use path along the
west side of 42nd Street from Olympic Street to the railroad tracks adjacent to the Weyerhaeuser entrance. The City Council reviewed three alignment options in the Spring of
2001 and selected this alternative as the preferred choice. The Planning Commission must hold a public hearing on the issue and forward a recommendation and findings of fact to the
council. The City Council will hold a public hearing on the matter at their July 15, 2002 Regular Session. The Work Session will provide the Planning Commission members an
opportunity to discuss the proposed amendments and ask questions of staff prior to the public hearing.(Stephens)
