ESA Code Amendments- Amendment of the Springfield Development Code (SDC) to comply with Federal regulations: 1) the Endangered Species Act (ESA); 2) the Clean Water Act (CWA); and 3) the Safe Drinking Water Act (SDWA) – continuation of the March 5 Work Session – review of proposed language. Articles 40 Mixed-Use Zoning District & Article 41 Nodal Development Overlay – In response to a request by the Planning Commission, staff has added a section to Article 41- Nodal Development Overlay District that specifies compatibility standards for new residential development that is introduced into existing neighborhoods. Staff requests the Planning Commission review and approval of these compatibility measures. As part of the Nodal Selection Project, public comment has been received asking for additional commercial and retail uses to be added to the list of allowed uses for Article 40- Mixed-Use Districts. Staff has proposed that some additional uses be approved, primarily in the Mixed-Use Residential (MUR) zone. (Mark Metzger) 3. Adjourn
