WORK SESSION
1. Metropolitan Natural Resources Study - Update and Review of Draft Natural Resources
Inventory - Continued from September 18, 2001- At the September 18th work session, staff presented an update of the Natural Resource Study process to the Commission, reviewing the most recent changes in the Draft NR Inventory and seeking comment on those changes. In the course of discussion, the Commission chose to reconsider the Significance Criteria. In doing so, a number of criteria were flagged with concerns. Staff was directed to prepare a statement of advice from the Planning Commission to the City Council, forwarding the Draft Inventory and Significance Criteria with its concerns about the specific criterion. As the September 18th meeting concluded, the Commission chose to meet on October 2nd to consider the individual natural resource sites that are part of the Draft Inventory. These are the sites that emerged as Tier 1 and Tier 2 Significance Criteria were applied. (Mark Metzger)
