WORK SESSION
1. RESIDENTIAL LANDS IMPLEMENTATION PROJECT-
In July 2000 the Planning Commission ranked the RLS implementation in order of importance of addressing issues within the next two years. A summary of the ranking
indicated the highest ranked implementation measures are within the categories of "residential density" and "Housing type and tenure". The measures can be implemented through code
amendments. Staff recommends that the scope of the project be narrowed to adopting code amendments within those categories. (Bork)
2. 2001 - 2006 CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM (CIP)-
Springfield's CIP is a five-year plan for funding and construction of the City's public facilities
and it is updated annually. Projects were selected from a long list of needed capital improvements. Because of limited revenues, many projects cannot be funded during the next
five years.
The public input process for the CIP was started in October when citizens, organizations, and City staff were asked to suggest projects for consideration in the CIP. (Al Peroutka)
