Establishing Priorities to Develop Affordable Housing Work Plan- At the joint session the Commission held with the City Council it was agreed that the Commission would develop a work plan surrounding the issue of affordable housing. To begin the task of developing a two year work plan, staff has made a list of implementation measures from both the Residential Lands Study and the Eugene-Springfield Consolidated Plan that specifically relate to affordable housing. Confirmation of CAC Members for Glenwood Riverfront Specific Area Plan- On March 21, 2000, Staff presented the Planning Commission with a Citizens Involvement Program for the Glenwood Riverfront Specific Area Plan (Riverfront Plan). A component of the Citizens Involvement Program is the formation of a Citizens Advisory Committee (CAC). Staff has contacted all property owners in the study area and other prospective CAC members. The deadline for application is Monday July 17, 2000 at 5:00 p.m. At Tuesday’s Work Session, staff will bring all applications received for review by the Planning Commission along with Staff’s recommended CAC composition. Confirmation of CAC Members for the Springfield Station Specific Plan – In March, the Planning Commission, acting as the Committee for Citizen Involvement, approved a Citizen Involvement Plan for the Springfield Station project that included a steering committee. Staff was instructed to recruit applicants for the Springfield Station Steering Committee and return to the Planning Commission with recommendations for appointment to the Committee. Staff has identified individuals who are interested in serving on the Steering Committee and is recommending appointment of individuals to fill the committee slots to approved in the Citizen Involvement Plan.
