VACATION OF KATHRYN ST. , JO# LRP2003-00023 – The owners of two properties abutting an unused portion of Kathryn Street right-of-way are requesting the Vacation. The street section was made obsolete when a re-alignment and new intersection of Kathryn and 40th Streets was constructed during the approval of Hammer Industrial Subdivision improvements. The old street surface and above ground improvements have been removed, the public right-of-way and certain underground utilities remain. The right-of-way is no longer needed, access to the utilities will be protected by the vacation ordinance. The vacation right-of-way will be returned to the private ownership of the applicants.
