A. DRINKING WATER PROTECTION OVERLAY DISTRICT (JO. NO. 2002-08-0245)–
In May 2000, Article 17 of the Springfield Development Code (SDC) was adopted which created the DWP Overlay District and rezoned all properties within the zero to twenty year Time of Travel Zone
(TOTZ). Modifications have been made by the Department of Human Services to the Drinking Water Protection Areas associated with the Weyerhaeuser Wellfield. As a result, certain properties need to
be included in the DWP Overlay District. (Summers)
B. VACATION OF ALLEY RIGHT-OF-WAY; LITHIA TOYOTA – The alley rights-of-way are located between Main Street and South “A” Street and between 8th Street
and 10th Street. The properties abutting the alley are zoned Community Commercial (CC) and designated Commercial on the Metro Plan Diagram. The properties abutting the alleys are designated
Downtown Mixed Use on the Springfield Downtown Refinement Plan Diagram Map #4.
The alley right-of-way between 8th Street and 9th Street is approximately 14’ wide by 320’ long; the alley right-of-way between 9th Street and 10th Street is approximately 14’ wide and 248’ long for a
total of approximately 7,952 square feet. Applicant is requesting this Vacation for security purposes. (Gale)
