Willamalane Zone Change and Refinement Plan Amendment–
The applicant, Willamalane Parks & Recreation District is requesting a Mid-Springfield Refinement Plan Diagram Amendment and a Zone Change and from LDR to LMI for the northerly74 feet
of Tax Lot 1800, which abuts the Willamalane maintenance facility. Willamalane has leased the 6,628 square feet of land since 1992 for the storage of park maintenance equipment. The
applicant has submitted a concurrent Lot Line Adjustment application, which proposes to fold the Northern 74 feet of Tax Lot 1800 into Willamalane’s maintenance facility, which is located
on Tax Lot 4300.(Gale)
Amendment of Development Code (Hearings Official) and Code Amendment Article 7 –
The Planning Commission is being asked to review two proposed Development Code amendments and then forward a recommendation on each to the City Council.
The two amendments are necessary to make the Development Code consistent with existing circumstances with respect to Glenwood and the responsibilities of the City’s Hearings Official.
Journal Number 99-08-0197 amends Article 7, Section 7.030, by describing Springfield’s comprehensive planning responsibilities as beginning east of I-5. This change recognizes the
jurisdictional transfer of Glenwood that occurred by Metro Plan amendment in 1998.
Journal 99-08-0209 re-establishes the Hearings Official as the authority for quasi-judicial decisions in the urban transition area. (Mott)
