Treadaway , 1323 Industrial Avenue "S'prlngfield, Oregon Dear Mr. Treadaway: 1 nttempted to call you the latter part of this week, but was unable to get anyone on the phone, and as you recall, I indicated I would review your problem on the sanitary sewer use and try to give you some information th1s week. In reviewing this matter in the light of our present ordinances and policies adopted bj the City, 1 see no means whereby the City could handle your situation any different frOM your neighbor Mr. Crosby, who has already paid the $3.40 per front foot <uhich is the mtlount provided by the ordinance (or un3ssessed property). 1 can apprcc~ate the cost llhich you indicated you m.ll be incurring in providing sewers for this subdivision of your property, however, I trust that you appreciate the city's position in seeing that all properties served by sanitary seuers have paid their fair assessment for the sewer services. I would like to suggest that, if as you ind1cated, you do not feel that this ia fair treaLment, or that you cannot afford to develop your property under these circumstances you bring this to the attention of the C1ty Counc11. The Council meets the 2nd and 4th Monday nighL of each month. Councilmen are generoIly in a better position to consider a problem if they heve been advised of the nature of the situation before hand, therefore, a letter submitted to the Council prior to their meeting would be of considerable assistance.
