'fbstIng . ,,/ DAILY FIELD REPORT Date Performed: February 1, 2007 Chambers Development Ms. Silva Sullivan 2295 Coburg Rd. Ste. 200 Eugene, OR 97401 Report Number: 722-70018-11 Client: Project Name: Sports Way Business Park Phase II Springfield, Oregon Project Location: B.P. No.: Type of Inspection: 02-00818-01/C6-1357 Soils Observation Weather: Clear Field Observations and Comments As requested, met on site to observe foundation footing excavations for the proposed building. All footing excavations were performed using the Hitachi 270LC excavator with a smooth bladed bucket and all excavated soils were hauled off site. The relatively undisturbed soils at the base of the excavations appeared to be native clayey silts/sandy silts as described in our geotechnical report dated September 25, 1998. Depths of the excavations to remove existing fill materials are listed on the attached site plan. They ranged in depth from 5 feet to 8 feet below finished rock grade elevation. Based on our observations, the fill materials appears deeper as you go from gridline D to A and from 1 to 8. Also performed compaction testing on the crushed rock placed under the proposed footings. The results of those tests will be reported under seperate cover. To the best of our knowledge, the work inspected above was in accordance with the building department approved design drawings, specifications and applicabe workmanship provisions of the International Building Code.
