I love reading and I am passing on my love of reading to them. A library is meant for enrichment and offer a safe haven for my children to grow their ever curious mind. I am disappointed and saddened that we have been denied the privilege of checking out books at both the Eugene library and the Springfield Library. We live in the city of Springfield, five miles away from the Eugene Library and 3 miles away from the Springfield Library. We can not check out books at the Eugene Library because the city voted against it and we are denied at the Springfield Library because our neighborhood is out of their city limit. While I understand the rules set in place for certain things, I can not understand this. I am disheartened that we have gone to both Libraries and and had to explain to my disappointed girls that they had to put their books back they were looking forward to borrowing. We are stuck in the middle. I appreciate you taking the time to read this. I just wanted to voice my frustration with this issue. Regards, Melissa Ziering
