Dear Kris,
I want to thank you for all of your efforts in the City of Springfield and throughout the
Eugene-Springfield community to bring awareness and solutions for housing and
homelessness. As a Springfield citizen and a member of the Springfield Shelter Rights
Alliance, you have dedicated yourself to looking for solutions to provide affordable
housing, and advocating for those solutions.
Most recently, you were honored for your tireless efforts in the Point in Time Count.
You were instrumental in mapping sites where people who are unhoused camp in
Springfield and Lane County, and were a key player engaging Willamalane Parks District
in the work to combat poverty and homelessness. The day of the PIT Count, you spent
17 hours collecting surveys throughout Springfield.
Springfield is a city that takes pride in the accomplishments of its citizens, and we are
very proud of your dedication and service to our community.
