NATIONAL BALLROOM DANCE WEEK
PROCLAMATION
Whereas: USA Dance’s National Ballroom Dance Week is a great
opportunity to increase interest and participation in dancing in our
community; and
Whereas: during this time Eugene/Springfield USA Dance, ballroom
studios, and independent dance instructors will be celebrating the week
with dances and related activities; and
Whereas: ballroom dancing is a wonderful way for people of all ages to
enjoy meeting new friends and benefiting from exercise that is fun,
relaxing and good for the spirit; and
Whereas: The City of Springfield is pleased to recognize Ballroom Dance
Week;
Now, Therefore, I, Christine L. Lundberg, Mayor of the City of Springfield,
Oregon, do hereby proclaim the week of September 15-24, 2017, as
“National Ballroom Dance Week”
In Springfield, Oregon and call upon the people of our city to join their
fellow citizens in supporting this observance.
