The new service needs to extend straight out, perpendicular to
the main, through the PUE, before any alignment changes.
The tap / service connection will be the bell portion of a
section of 8" 3034 pvc pipe, not to protrude more than a'/z"
into the main along the top and bottom of the core drill.
The inside diameter of the core drill will not exceed by a'/2"
arger than the outside diameter of the 8" pvc pipe.
A concrete collar will be poured all the way around -,ie new
tap connection, to secure the new tap and help prevent root
intrusion.
The Inspector (Craig Fitzgerald 541-954-6477) will be on site
before the main is core drilled.
Any changes to these instructions need to be approved by the
Inspector.
WASTEWATER
Connect waste to existing sewer service near the NW corner
of the property that connects to the mainline. It doesn't
connect to an existing manhole as it's shown on the Storm
Drain / Sewer Plan. See As -built sheet.
New street trees shall be at least 2 inches in caliper.
Street trees shall be selected from the City Street Tree
List and installed as specified in the City's Engineering
Design Standards and Procedures Manual
Construct driveway per City Standard 3-21. Maximum
width 24 feet. No above -ground facilities (fire hydrants,
power poles, catch basins, valves, j -boxes, etc.) shall
be permitted within the apron or ramp area.
Construct sidewalk per City Standard 3-12.
