ACCEPTANCE OF PROJECT P20340: WEST 'I' STREET
RECONSTRUCTION FROM WATER STREET TO KELLY
BOULEVARD.
ACTION REQUESTED: Adoption of the following resolution:
A RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT PROJECT P20340 FROM WILD ISH
CONSTRUCTION COMPANY IN THE AMOUNT OF $185,080.81.
ISSUE STATEMENT:
The contractor has completed work on the project. The project is now ready for
City Council to formally accept the work.

DISCUSSION/
FINANCIAL IMPACT:
This project was for construction of full street improvements on West I Street
from Water Street to Kelly Boulevard. The project consisted of 600 LF of asphalt
pavement of the street with 62 feet ofPVC storm sewer line, two catch basins, six
street signs, 1,230 LF of concrete sidewalks, curbs and gutters, and eight street
trees.
The construction contract amount was $212,980.00. The construction was
accomplished for $185,080.81 which is $27,899.19 below the contract amount.
All work under this contract has been completed, inspected by the City Engineer,
and found to be satisfactory.

RESOLUTION NO.
Acceptance
WHEREAS, work on the improvement described below has been fully completed and
has been duly inspected by the City Engineer of the City of Springfield:
P20340 West 'I' Street, Kelly Street to Water Street Improvements, and,
WHEREAS, said work was found to be in conformance with the terms of the contract
now on file in the City Recorder's office; and,
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the City Engineer that this improvement project
be accepted and permanently included in the improvement maintenance program of the City of
Springfield.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
1) The Common Council of the City of Springfield does hereby accept for future
maintenance the above-described project and accepts said improvement from the
contractor involved.
2) This resolution shall take effect upon adoption by the Council and approval by the
Mayor.
Adopted by the Common Council of the City of Springfield, Oregon, this 19th day of
March, 2007.
