THE CITY OF SPRINGFIELD DOES ORDAIN AS FOLLOWS:
Section I: That the amount originally assessed against Tax Lot # 18-02-06-13-10002 by the adoption of
Ordinance No. 5961 on May 15,2000, was $29, 443.18 and that the balance is currently $25,762.78, and
that in accordance. with 3.150 through 3.156 of the Springfield Municipal Code, the record owner of the
tract or parcel of property involved has presented the Finance Director with a written request that the
assessment on tax lot number 18-02-06-13-10002 be reapportioned to various parts or parcels of such real
property as follows:
Tax Lot# 18-02-06-13-10002 (Parcell) Assessment: $8,587.59

2003, Partition Records of Land County, Oregon.

Section 2: That the Engineering Division of the city's Public Works Department has completed the
calculation for reapportionment to be as follows:

Section 3: That the total sum of the reapportionment against the property and property owners described
above is $25,762.78
Section 4: That the Common Council does hereby detennine that the amount to be reapportioned against
each lot, part of lot, or acreage property, abutting upon and benefited by said construction, as set forth in
section 2, the owner or reputed owner thereof being named and all of said property being in the City of
Springfield to be as calculated by the Engineering Division of the city's Public Works Department.
Section 5: That the Common Council does detennine that each lot, part oflot, or acreage property herein
before described is specifically benefited to the extent of the reapportionment hereinbefore set forth and
does hereby declare each and all of said reapportionment to be I iens upon the respective lots, parts of lots,
acreage property and tracts described against which said amounts are reassessed and orders and directs the
City Recorder to enter in the docket ofthe city liens a statement thereof containing:
I.) The description of each lot, part of lot, or acreage property for such improvement sufficient for
identification.
2.) The name of the owner or reputed owner thereof or that the owner is unknown.
3.) The sum assessed upon such property and the date of entering the same in the docket of city liens.
Section 6: The Common Council hereby detennines and declares said lots, parts oflots, or acreage
property and tracts to be liable for the costs of the construction aforesaid. The former assessment levied
against said property herein described as Tax Lot # ] 8-02-06-13-1 0002 by Ordinance No. 596] is hereby
reapportioned.
Section 7: The Common Council hereby finds and detennines that matters regarding the reapportionment
of liens for Project#P20079 are matters affecting the public health, safety and welfare and that an
emergency therefore exists and therefore this ordinance shall take effect upon adoption of the council and
approval by the mayor.
ADOPTED by the Common Council of the City of Springfield by a vote of 6
against this 28th day of July, 2003.
