RE: Sign Permit Application For 977 Main Street, Springfield, Oregon
Dear Mr, Turel:
I am writing with regards to the Sign Permit Ap~lication which was submitted to
our office on Monday, AprilS, for the above mentioned location.
Both the sign permit application and sign drawing indicate different sizes for
the proposed sign. Both sizes €xceed the allowable square footage for the wall
where you are placing the sign. In the downtoYlI area, wall signage cannot
exceed 3 square feet per lineal foot of building wall on which the sign is being
placed. For example, on the sign plan you submitted, you indicate the wall is
12 lineal feet (the width of the wall), with that dimension, your wall sign can
be a maximum size of 36 square feet.

Enclosed is your application, sign drawings, and. the Sign Code section ~hich
applies to your property. If you wish to resubmit, please modify your drawings
and permit applicatioll so the sign will not exceed the allowable size.
