corporate logo. In fact, 'y()u will note.that on,this stationery and my enclosed business card. .

. . to "brand" our appearance by utilizing our corporate logo. 'Briefly~ the image of a seagull is
designed to reflect on our roots as a coastal bank. The "SVB" helps the viewer to connect,
Siuslaw Valley Bank with that "bird" image. Together, they have fonned the bank's official'
corPorate logo since itstounding in 1964, making us'Lane County's Oldest. Independent
COlllllluni~v'Balik.
It is somewh;t ironic that our b~nk is fa~ed with addressi~g thi~ challenge at this ti'me. The
Springfield, mayor and Chamber ofCommercc:: were effusive,i,n their praise of our. bank being
. among the first to locate in your downtown core as a part of your attempt to redevelop
downtown. However, I re;nain confident that it will ultimately be detennined tha,uhe
