Field Observations and Comments
As requested, a PSI representative met on-site with John Hyland Construction to observe exposed subgrade soils for
the parking lot and driveway pavement areas west of the proposed Quick Lube Building and south of existing building
(see attached site plan for locations). Exposed soils visually appeared to be native silty claylclayey silt and were firm
and stable with soil probe penetrations of 4 to 6 inches. Depth of excavation ranged from 18 inches to 24 inches below
top of existing asphalt. To the best of our knowledge, the work inspected above was in accordance with the building
department approved design drawings, specifications and applicable workmanship provisions of the International
Buildinq Code.
