Planning staff are researching some statements made by Scott Olson, an opponent of the Justice Center project
(more specifically, the proposed B Street vacation) HIS June 12, 2007 submittal IS attached for your reference
On page 2, fourth paragraph, Mr Olson states that "felony offenders account for 85% of Springfield's 2004
charges" This IS a vague and ambiguous statement, and I have no information that would confirm the validity of
this statistic I would like to proVide a staff response to this statement In the City Council report for July 2 (which is
due next week) Please let me know If there IS any information or statistics available for the past 5 years (2002-
2006) that would confirm or deny Mr Olson's assertion Thanks '
