The project SitE;; was visited on this date to observe the progress of the work I met V.lt~ Maltln of
Morris Kieity Construction and Bob Barnhart of the City of Springfield Bob Barhart was concerned
about the instdllation of the Simpson A35 hardware which connects the trussas to the gl.;lam
beam The A3S clips were installed with approximately 4 nails using a nail gun. The A35 clips that
were already installed had at least 4 addilion3! nails installed by' hancL Martin assured me that the
remaining A35 clipS would be fastened in this manner
TwO 2x4 blocking pieces were fastened between each truss where the. truss bears on the glulam
kam The combination of the A35 clips and the two blocking pieces meet the required deSlgil
strength for the connectIon of the canopy to the glulam beam
