As you requested I performed a site soils inspection on March 10, 2005 at the above
noted location During that inspection I made the followmg observatIOns
The native soil fine fraction is a silty clay loam of moderate density More then ~ the
material will pass a #200 sieve. See the attached site analysis fi VlU GeoScience Dated
August 6, 2003
The contractor had cut the site placed the gravel fill prior to the inspection The site is
cut so that it follows the native grade and covered with a base layer of 1-1/2 inch mmus
and capped with 3/4 inch minus crushed quarry rock placed in three-inch lifts The
finished depth of the fill is approximately 12 - 18 inches in depth The crushed rock was _
compacted with a vibratory roller The fill as prepared is adequate to support a single-
family residence with the foundatIon design pressures at the bottom of the footings to
have a maximum pressure of 1500 PSF Drainage for the gravel pad will be placed after
the foundation is' cast and prior to placing the floor framing
