Building L Exterior West Firewall
Dear Mr, Barnhart'
This letter is to confirm that a 24 foot easement for storm detention, treatment and infiltration has
been created on the adjacent lot west of the subject permit building site and has been recorded at
Lane County Deeds and Records with Reception No. 2004-056715 on July 21,2004. This
easement may not be built upon since the treatment functions are dependent on living flora for
effectiveness
Therefore, it appears that there is no requirement under the fire code for the previously planned
one hour firewall on the west wall of Building L ) adjacent to the west property line ofthe subject
site, The Contractor, W.A Stevens ConstructlOn, proposes to alter this wall to a simple steel
framed and sheathed exterior wall as shown in other locations on the plans, We find this
proposed change acceptable and request your concurrence,
