As you requested 1 performed an inspection on June 27. 2001 at the above noted location.
During that inspection 1 made the following observations.
The site had aJready been exc~vated to native material, removing all organics und fill.
The existing crushed rock pad lor tIle proposed foundation was approximately 4" in depth
and was saturuted with water. In order to correct the water within the pad, a trench was
cut around the outside ofit with the high point at the southwest comer. The trench was
cut a minimum of 3" be low the pad with a ] % slope around the house both directions to a
low point at the northeast comer of the house. ^ r perforated schedule 40 pve ,
drainline was installed in the bottom of the trench and daylighted to a weep hole in the
curb. The trench was filled in with I Y2" open cru.'Iot::d quarry rock. An additional 8" of
1 v,t crushed quarry rock was added to the existing cru~hed rock pad. The tutal depth of
the crushed rock should now be a minimum of 12",
A... requ~1ed 1 performed a compaction test on June 28, 2001 at the above tlOted location.
The 1 Yz'" ~us c~shcd quarry rock has been compat.ied to a minimun1 density of90% of
u modiJied proctor. The site as prcpar~ is adequate to support the proposed rcsidenliul
fOlUldation with no modifications fro!'n its present condition.
