C. EXIT LIGHTING
1. Maintain lighting lor exit signs.
_ 2. Provide lighting for corridors. stairways. and exterior exitways.
_ 3 Ell.its shall be illuminated at all times the bulding is occupied.
D. FIRE EXTINGUISHERS
1. Provide _ exlinguishercs) of a minimum rating.
2. MOun! extinguisher where readily available. with top not higher than 5 teet
3 Post signs indicating location where extinguishers are not readily visible.
4 Service and tag each extinguisher annually and after use.
E. FIRE PROTECTION AND ALARM SYSTEMS
1. Maintain access to and operation oj standpipes, fire hose. sprinkler valves, and fire hydrant(s).
2. Inspect and tes1 sprinkler system and maintain records.
3 Identity sprinkler valves and standpipes and secure in open posllion.
4 Provide spare sprinklers (6 minimum) and sprinkler wrench.
5. Inspect and service hood and duct extinguishing system o....er COOking eQuipment.
6 Replace damaged. corroded. or painted sprinkler heads.
7. Provide and maintain smoke detectors in proper operating condition.
S Inspect and maintain fire alarm system and maintain recolds.
F. FIRE SEPARATIONS'
1. Remove obstructions Irom lire doors and maintain to operate properly.
_ 2. Seal unapproved openings with approved malerial.
_ 3 Keep anic access and scunle openings closed.
G. FLAMMABLE UaUIDS
1. Storage in excess of 10gal. Class 1.11. or III-A liquids used for maintenance and operation 01 equipment
1. shall be stored in approved storage cabinets.
2. Umil storage and display 01 Class I. It or Ill-A liquids to allowable Quantities.
3 Remove liquids not stored in approved containers.
4_ Remove flammable liquids not used for main!. in assembly bldgs.. offices. aplS.. or motels.
S. Discontinue use 01 Class I liquids (gasoline. etcllor cleaning.
6 Store liquids away from corridors, aisles, stairways, and exit areas.
7. Disco:ntinue dispensing from containers exceeding 5 gal. or provide pump taking suction from top.
H, HOUSEKEEPING
1. Remove or store rubbish, waste mat_erial. oily rags in dosed metal containers.
_ 2. Clean grease fitters and hood du~ system over cooking appliance.
_ 3 Provide approved waste containers lor combustible waste.
l. STORAG'E
1: Remove storage Irom exits. aisles. corridor-s, and under stairways-
2. Arrange storage in orderly manner and provide lor exiting and fire department access.
3 Remove storage 1018" below level of sprinkler (36"lor storage piled over 121eet high),
4. Reduce storage height to at least two feet below ceiling.
S. Boiler, mechanical. and electrical panel rooms shall nOt be used lor storage.
J. MISCELLANEOUS
1. Post and enforce No Smoking signs.
2. Provide address in such a position as to be visible and legible Irom the street lronling property.
3 Remove obstructions and provide access in fire lanes.
4 Secure all compressed gas cylinders in upright poSition with name of product
