RE: Shaker's
This is to voice my most vehement objection to housing Shaker's in downtown
Springfield. This would severely im pact the recent positive steps that have been
taken to improve Springfield's downtown and would certainly influence other
com m ercial or educational entities that might be thinking of locating there.
Laws/ordinances must be changed to prevent this disaster.
It is a sad state of affairs when Springfield can support five sexually-oriented clubs.
To call them "gentlemen's" clubs is a travesty of the word and totally denigrates
real gentlemen (who are courteous and gentle men).
Please do whatever you have to to stop Shaker's (and other like-businesses) from
polluting our downtown.
