ACCEPTANCE OF PROJECT P20457; SOUTH 42ND STREET
RECONSTRUCTION, MAIN STREET TO MT VERNON.
ACTION
REQUESTED:
Adopt or reject the following resolution:
A RESOLUTION TO ACCEPT PROJECT P20457; SOUTH 42ND STREET
RECONSTRUCTION, MAIN STREET TO MT VERNON FROM DELTA
CONSTRUCTION COMPANY IN THE AMOUNT OF $1,914,764.45.
ISSUE
STATEMENT:
The contractor has completed work on this project and it is now ready for City
Council to formally accept the work.

FINANCIAL
IMPACT:
This project included the installation of 840 feet of6 inch and 1,786 feet of8 inch
sanitary sewer line. Storm sewer line was installed consisting of 606 feet of 10 inch,
320 feet of 12 inch, 709 feet of 18 inch, 228 feet of24 inch, 1,107 feet of30 inch and
38 feet of 54 inch. In addition, the project included the installation of2,920 feet of
concrete street, 5,800 feet of sidewalk, six street lights and 75 street trees. A total of
12,400 feet of right of way was purchased.
The Council authorized budget for this project was $2,244,983.00. This included
$1,947,602.22 for the construction contract, $150,000 for project development costs,
and $147,380.78 for administration of the construction contract. This project has
been completed within budget with the final cost coming in at $2,214,762.05.
All work done.under this contract has been completed and inspected by the City
Engineer and found to be satisfactory.

RESOLUTION NO.
Acceptance
WHEREAS, work on the improvement described below has been fully completed and
has been duly inspected by the City Engineer of the City of Springfield:
P20457; SOUTH 42ND STREET RECONSTRUCTION, MAIN STREET TO MT VERNON,
and
WHEREAS, said work was found to be in conformance with the terms of the contract
now on file in the City Recorder's office; and,
WHEREAS, it is the recommendation of the City Engineer that this improvement project
be accepted and permanently included in the improvement maintenance program of the City of
Springfield.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED as follows:
1) The Common Council of the City of Springfield does hereby accept for future
maintenance the above-described proj ect and accepts said improvement from the
contractor involved.
2) This resolution shall take effect upon adoption by the Council and approval by the
Mayor.
Adopted by the Common Council of the City of Springfield, Oregon, this 2nd day of
June, 2008.
