RE: Lot 41 Levi Landing - Site/Soils Investigation - W.O, # 14560-1-1-RDR
As you requested, a sitelsoils Investigation was performed on thiS lot on May 6,2002. Design for
the site IS as follows: '

All unsuitable fill, vegetation, and unbulldable material have been remc;lV_ed to native grade. The
native soil is a silly-clay loam wilh a Unified Soils Classification o_f Mil and a plasticity index of less
than 20 The expansiveness of the SOil is low (after Holtz 1959) A_maximum 4" of crushed rock
should be installed with tracked excavation equipmenl to protect the proposed bUilding sile in the
event of inclement weather. No extraordinary drainage or compaqtion IS reqUired for treatment of
expansive soils at this sIte
On May 10, 2002. a compaction inspection was preformed after fill placement The,compacted
surface of the 1 1/2" minus crushed rock is adequate for a foundation bearing capacity of 1500 psf,
which IS adequate to support the proposed conventional wood frameresldence. The compaction of
the gravel surface is greater than 95% of a standard proctor per ASTM D698-91 ,\ -
