DEVELOPMENTSERWCES ADMINISTRATION PLANNING / BUILDING PUBLIC WORKS METROPOLITAN WASTEWATER MANAGEMENT 225 FIFTH STREET SPRINGFIELD, OR 97477 (503) 726-3753 December IS, 1988 Mr. Mike Watson Watson's Glass 152 Main Street Springfield, OR 97477 Dear Mike: This letter follows up on our phone conversation of December 2, 1988. In summary, we discussed a potential timeline for submittal of your site plan for' Watson's Glass. You stated that, although you are willing to install bollard and chain decorative fence around the north and south sides of your property for safety purposes, you do not feel required to submit a site plan as you do not believe there has been a change of use at the Watson's Glass property. You also stated that you are not required to obtain an occupancy inspection for the same reason. The City's position has not changed. There has been a change of use at the Watson's Glass property and, therefore, a site plan and occupancy inspection is required. The Planning Commission has reviewed this issue and concurs with Planning staff's position. I hope this letter accurately summarizes the substance of our conversation.
