C. BUILDING DIVISION STAFF WILL FILL OUT ALL FEES AND
CHARGES ON THE SCHEDULES
D. As npted on the CAP, the label must be delivered to the
electrical contractor for Signature by his electrical
supervisor. The general contractor is,not authorized
to sign the electrical label. ---
III. Applicant to sign and date
Whenever possible, the initial application will be used as
a worksheet only. Where possible, Building Division Staff
will prepare a type written copy and return it to the
applicant at the time the actual permit is issued for his
signature.
IV. Fees and Charges
Plan check fees are due and payable at the time of the
application, and no plans will be processed until these
fees are paid. All other fees and charges are due and
payable when the permit is issued.

APPlICATION**
THE ROOF DECK shall be firm, clean, dry and smooth. Provision shall be made
to embed wood nailers at all roof edges and openings. Apply Conprime to the
surface of the entire deck at the rate of 1 gallon peF 100 square feet. The primer
should be allowed to dry before application of the roofing.CONBASE TYPE W-l-
IV shall be spot mopped to the deck with asphalt. Spot mopping shall be at the rate
of 15 Ibs. per 100 square feet. Conbase Type W-1-IV to be lapped 2" on the sides
and 6" on the ends, and in a manner to provide the flow of water over or parallel
to the side laps. It shall be turned up 2" above the cant on all walls and vertical
surfaces. CONPL Y TYPE A.IV shall be applied parallel to the base sheet and
lapped so the flow of water is over or parallel to, but never against, the laps. All
end laps shall be at least 4" and adjacent end laps shall be at least 12" apart.
Embed two plies of Conply Type A.IV in shingle fashion, lapping 19" into
uniform solid mappings of hot asphalt. Embed the "full width of'eacl'l ply sheet in
hot asphalt applied at a nominal rate of 30 Ibs. per 100 square feet. Each ply shall
be lightly broomed, using a moderately soft commercial pushbroom, as" it is applied.
All' plies shail be turned up 2" above the top of the ca~t and shall be'soiid mopped
to the cant and vertical wall. ON SLOPES EXCEEDING 1-1/2" per foot
asphalt shall be applied at the nominal rate of 251bs. per 100 square feet per plv.
Roofing snail be applied parallel to slope of deck. On slopes 2" per foot or over,
the ply sheet shall be nailed to the nailers 18" from the back adge of each
sheet. Underlying sheet of all Concap end laps shall be nailed with two rows of
nails, 3" apart on 3" centers staggered. Concap end laps shall occur over nailers.
Embed 12' or 18' lengths of Concap into a unifortn solid mopping of hot steep
asphalt, using not less than 25100. per 100 square feet. Concap side laps
shall be at least 12" from bottom sheet side laps. The Concap shall be neatly set
in place providing a 2" side lap and a 4" end lap. Adjacent end laps shall be at
least 3' apart. There must be complete contact between the Concap and the
mopping asphalt. VALLEYS AND WA TERWA YS shall receive an extra layer of
Conply which shall be atlleast 36" wide and shall extend at least 8" up the '
inclines out of the valleys. This ply shall be laid prior to the application of the
roofing plies.

asphalt for slope involved.

considered part of these specifications.

APPLlCATlON**

the ply sheet shell be nailed to the nailers 18" from the back edge of each sheet.
V ALLEYS AND WA TERWA YS shall receive an extra layer of Conply which shall
be at least 36" wide and shall extend at least 8" up the inclines out of the valleys.
This ply shall be laid prior to the application of the roofing plies. Embed not less
than 400 lbs. of gravel 'or 300 Ibs. of slag per 100 square feet into hot asphalt,
using not less than 60 Ibs. per 100 square feet.
