RE: Driveway separation from intersection for Tax Lot 311, Lane County Tax
Assessor's Map 17-02-3~1~3
Pursuant to OLlr conversation on Fcbl~uary 26th regarding the reduction of the
mlnimum separation between your proposed driveway and the nearest intersection
at E Street (SDC Article 32, Table 32-4), I conferred with Dean Bishop in the
Transportatlon Division and Lorne Pleger in the Building Department. They were
ln agreement that the circumstances warrant a reduction in the required 30 feet
separation to 20 feet to allow for the location of the proposed house on the lot.
The circumstances making the specification unreasonable result mainly from the
15 foot utility easement on the north property line. The proposed house plan is
conventlonal and similar to other houses in the area. Your desire not to "flip-
flop" the house plan but rather to maintain the garage along the south property
line to buffer the living areas of the dwelling from traffic on E Street is
reasonable.
If you have any questions please call 726-3783.
Sincerely,
