Here are my comments for this meeting: Question 2. If the applicant wishes to build a gated community, fire access will need to be ensured. This can be done by installing a Knox keyed gate sWitch If it is an electnc gate (more likely) or a public works lock If it is a manual gate. The gate must have a minimum clear opening of 20 feet. I assume the proposed 40 foot nght of ways will allow for 28 foot wide paving. Parking shall be on one side only for the 28 foot wide streets per SFC 503.2.1. "No Parking-Fire Lane" signs will need to be posted on one side. Future submittals for Pre-Submittal and DRC meetings will need to show proposed placement of fire hydrants.
