Dear Mr. Mellor:
The Lane County Sanitarian has advised this office that all building permits involving
bedroom additions on properties served by septic systems require approval of the existing
septic system by their office. He has asked that we inform permit holders of affected
properties to contact their office within the Environmental Health Dept. at Lane Co'. for
information on the application and inspection procedures needed to complete an
"Authorizati9n Notice" for the existing septic system. They can be contacted by Phone at
682-3754, or in person at their office in the basement of the Lane Co. Building, 125 E. 8th
Ave. in Eugene.
A copy of the approved Authorization Notice must be submitted to this office before
final inspections for your building project can be approved.
