As you requested, an inspection has been made during the performance
of the excavation and placement of gravel fill on this site in
preparation for the construction involving foundations for the
proposed residence. The excavation involved removal of surface
organic soil and other unsuitable material and the placement of 12"
minimum of 1-1/2" minus crushed rock in accordance with our standard
procedures. The compacted surface of the crushed rock is adequate for
a foundation bearing capacity of 1500 psf which is adequate to support
the proposed conventional wood frame residence.

As you requested, an inspection. was performed to determine the
adequacy of the sloped footings at the changes of elevation at the
site. The footings are 24" wide and are sloped approximately two
horizontal to one vertical and per the contractor, two #4 continuous
reinforcing bars are installed. These sloped footings will be
adequate to support the wood framed structure if the following
recommendations are followed:
1. The step in the stem wall extends 12" past the sloped section of
the footing.
