SITE PLAN REVIEW BOARD: Must be requested 2 days in advance
of the date you wish inspection. All project conditions such as
landscaping, parking lot striping, etc. must be completed before
requesting this Inspectlon.
FINAL ELECTRICAL
FINAL BUILDING: Requested after the final plumbing, electrical,
mechanical and Fire Department inspections are made and
approved. No occupancy of the premises can be made untll a
Certificate of Occupancy has been issued by the Building Division
and posted on the premises.

who are in compliance with ORS 701.055 will be used on this project.

APPLICATION RECOMMENDATIONS:
ROOF DECK shall be firm, clean. dry and smooth. All membranes shall be
applied so flow of water is over or parallel to. but never against the laps. WOOD
INSULATION STOPS the same thickness as the insulation, shall be attached
at outside edges and openings through the deck. These stops shall be 6" (15.24
em) wide or 1" (2.54 em) wider than flanges being nailed 10 them. ROOF
INSULATION shall be applied in approved manner. ROOF TAPE if required,
shall be embedded over all insulation joints in hot asp hall with 4" (10.16 cm) end
laps. When approved E.P.S. insulation and coverboard are used, tape must be
applied wilh Barrel Roller, Tape Machine or "back mopped and flopped over"
in place. Tape shall be applied al nailers, cants, at edge of roof insulation, etc.
VALLEYS AND W A TERW A YS shall receive an extra layer of TOUGH PLY IV
which shall be at least 36" (0.91 m) wide and shall extend at leastS" (20.32 cm)
up the inclines out of the valleys, set in a uniform mopping of hot asphalt,
optimum of 25 lbslsquare (11.34 kgs/9.29 sq m). This ply shall be laid prior to
the application of the roofing plies. INTEC/PERMAGLAS TOUGH PLY IV end
laps shall be alleast 4" (10.16 cm) and adjacent end laps shall be at least 12"
(30.48 cm) apart. Install three plies of TOUGH PLY IV in shingle fashion,
lapping 243/.." (0.63 m) wilh a 111/.." (0.29 m) exposure. Starter strips of 12",24"
and 36" (0.30, 0.61, 0.91 m) shall be used and the second full sheet shall be
laid a maximum of 10" (25.4 cm) exposure. Embed the full width of each ply
sheet in hot asphalt applied, optimum of 251bslsquare (11.34 kgs/9.29 sq m).
Each ply shall be lightly broomed as it is applied. Turn all plies up to top of cant.
BASE FLASHING: All warranty roof systems must be flashed according 10 the
"Flashing Details", Section 7. SURFACING: Embed not less than 400 lbs
(181.44 kgs) of gravel or 300 lbs (136.08 kgs) slag/square (9.29 sq m) into a
minimum of 60 Ibs of hot asphalVsquare (27.22 kgsl9.29 sq m).
All of the Recommendations and Appfication Techniques set forth in this
manual are considered part of this specific.1tion.
1 NOTE TO SPECIFIERS: SUPER PLY ("SP") may be specified in Zone A
only (See Zone Map pg. 36). To specify, call out specification G-3SP-RI
and use the words SUPER PLY in place of TOUGH PLY IV wherever they
appear in this specification.

(5.08 cm) and adjacent end laps shall be at least 12" (30.48 cm) apart. Install three
plies of TOUGH PLY IV in shingle fashion, lapping 243/4" (0.63 m) with a 111/4"
(0.29 m) exposure. Starter strips of 12", 24" and 36" (0.30, 0.61, 0.91 m) shall be
used and the secondtull sheet shall be laid a maximum of 10" (25.4 em) exposure.
Embed the full width of each ply sheet in hot asphalt, optimum 01 25 Ibslsquare
(11.34 k9s19.29 sq mI. Each ply shall be lightly broomed, as it is applied. Turn
up all plies to the top of can I. INTEC/PERMAGLAS ULTRA CAP shall be cuI into
maximum 18' (5.48 m) lengths, the length depending upon temperature and
weather conditions, and allowed to relax. Embed ULTRA CAP into a unilorm solid
mopping of hot asphalt, optimum of 25 lbslsquare (11.34 kgsl9.29 sq m). Set
neatly in place with 2" (5.04 em) side laps and 6" (15.24 em) end laps. Adjacent
end laps shall be at least 3' (0.91 m) apart. There must be complete adhesion
between the ULTRA CAP and the mopping asphalt. Apply extra pressure to avoid
creating open channels, where three or more membranes are lapped. BASE
FLASHING: All warranty roof systems must be flashed according to the "Flashing
Delails~, Section 7.
