Department of Public Works 17 October 1985 Mr. Terry Berrel Housing Authority and Community' Services Agency of Lane County 177 Day Island Road Eugene, Oregon 97401 Dear Terry, On 16 October 1985 I made a housing rehabilitation inspection at the home of Lester and Stacey Fuller at 665 Hayden Bridge Road, Springfield, Oregon. The inspection revealed the following potential hazards: 1. Wood stove and chimney connector in the dining area do not have adequate clearance from combustibles. Existing chimney venting wood stove is not lined. 2. Electrical service including mast, service drop and service panel are improperly installed. Feeders to and wiring in utility room are improperly installed and overloaded. At this point it does not appear that the Fullers will be eligible for the City's Substantial Home Rehabilitation Loan Program due to insufficient equity in their home and the extensive amount of repairs which would be required to bring their home into compliance with program standards. However, the City is concerned about the potentially hazardous wood stove installation and electrical wiring and would like to refer and prioritize these repairs to the Emergency Home Repair Program.
