According to FEMAmapping (Firm Panel 41039C1144F), the f100dway boundary for the Willamette River runs through the middle of the project site with the north half of the site being located in Zone X (outside the f1oodway), and the south half of the site being located within the identified f1oodway. The proposed house location as provided on the attached site plan is located within the identified f1oodway. The base flood elevation for the site is 450.2 feet. To determine the potential impacts the proposed house would have on the f1oodway, a site topographic survey was performed. The results ofthe topographic survey indicated the buildable portion of the site (which includes the proposed house pad and garage pad) ranges in elevation from 450.7' - 453.2'. These existing ground elevations are higher than the base flood elevation for the site. Due to the existing ground elevation being higher than the base flood elevation, it can be said the proposed construction will not adversely affect conveyance of the Willamette River during a base flood discharge.
