The 1979 Oregon State Building Code, Section 303(d), explains that any building per- mit for "hich work is not started within 180 days of issuance, or if work is suspended for a period of 180 days, the building permit shall expire by limitation and become null and void. If conditions beyond your control have prevented you from proceeding on this project, please submit a letter stating the circumstances and if conditions warrant the Building Official may extend your application for a specified period of time. If this building permit is allowed to expire, it "ill be necessary to obtain a new building permit and a permit fee amounting to one-half of the original permit fee for such "ork will be due.
