VARIANCE REQUEST: To erect 2 identity signs in excess of the maximum permitted
sizes in the Residential Sign District.
CITY REFERENCE: 9-7-11 (2)(b) of the Springfield Sign Ordinance
At the Board of Appeals meeting held on October 20, 1983, the Board of Appeals
rendered the following decision regarding the above referenced variance request:
xx Approved
Denied
FINDINGS OF FACT:
1) The property is located directly adjacent to commercially zoned property and
also to the Modified Freeway Sign District.
2) The traffic flow and patterns in the area are.faster and heavier than normal
conditions relative to Residential Districts.
3) The proposed sign is not inconsistent with other signs for Multiple Family
Dwellings in the immediate vicinity.
